The Maud Powell String Institute is a low-tuition program that also awards scholarships to students who are in need of additional financial aid to attend. We keep our operational costs low by depending on volunteers (board members, guest performers, etc..), cutting administrative costs and sustaining minimal overhead costs. That way, all donation received go directly towards either:
– our scholarship fund; up to $10,000 a year
OR
– subsidizing tuition to keep the cost of attendance low for everyone
OR
– instrument fund: up to $5000. In addition to being an affordable program, MPSI also provides instruments to ALL students and all equipment related to the learning process. On average, we pay $30 rental fee every month per student (per instrument). Your donation would help purchase instruments instead, which would also minimize our operational costs further.
